Mt. Hope - We Have a Roof!
Our last newsletter described how the Governor of Gitega gave land—a mountain—to Sister Connection to build a training center. Construction on Mt. Hope began two months ago and we now have a roof on the first building.
Burundian Sponsor
Sister Connection welcomes its first Burundian sponsor. Two women, both impacted by the past, are dedicated to changing the future. Sister Connection’s sponsorship program facilitates this in-country connection.
The Right Thing
Not every eleven year old gets to visit a house they built for a widow in Africa! But for Laura Goodnight this opportunity becomes reality as she travels to Burundi to see how Sister Connection impacts the life of a Burundian widow. Laura writes about her experience and the joy of giving.
Burundi Ministry Trips
In August and September, Sister Connection took three teams into Burundi. Working with the widows and youth of Burundi, our teams again captured the heartbeat and purpose of Sister Connection.
