Kayla Meets Her Sister and Family
Though this was the first time Kayla and her Burundian 'Sister' met, you’d think they’ve been family for years. The connection was powerful as both sponsor and widow were impacted by the Lord's peace and provision.
House of Joy Nears Completion
As the interior work begins on the House of Joy, the president of Burundi tours the building site. In doing so, he sends a clear message to the community that widows and orphans have worth.
Building Homes
As of March 1, Sister Connection has built or repaired 205 homes for widows, and has received funds to build 62 more homes. When the rainy season ends in April, we will begin construction on those homes and any additional ones that are funded in March.
The Joy of Giving
Bob King is a retired dentist who resides in Stanwood, Washington. He recounts how he and his wife Nancy first learned about Sister Connection. "I like how Sister Connection separates its 'other' expenses from its sponsorship and home building programs. To me this is stewardship at its best."
